Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. Her most well-known role is her part as Skyler White in the AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for performing in Preparatory School prior to moving to Ohio together with her family during the early 1970s. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one term at British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago and worked in theater roles for many years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood and began acting in movies and television shows. In 1992 Anna got her first major part in the role of Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be an actor in number of television series and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue through the mid 90's when she appeared in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler was the character she played on Breaking Bad. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn was a part of David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. Gunn was in the role of the character Numbered Days in a four-part audio series that was released set in 2022. The relationship that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story in Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and its eventual demise arguably mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of life.
